SAO of HSUHK promotes physical wellness, mental resilience, and positive social values through a rich array of sports and physical education opportunities. These include PE classes, sports events, workshops, credit-bearing PE modules, and sports team training. By participating, students develop key physical competencies and cultivate transferable skills like teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving, nurturing a sense of belonging and fostering holistic growth.

The Lee Shau Kee Complex (Block B), located in the North Campus of HSUHK, is integral to our physical education initiatives. It features a sports hall, an indoor swimming pool, a dance studio, a fitness centre, and more, providing an optimal environment for training, competition, and recreational engagement that promotes student wellness and athletic development.

HSUHK fosters a supportive environment where students can unleash their sporting potential. Guided by professional coaches, our 12 university teams develop technical skills and crucial life attributes like resilience, grit, and a growth mindset. Students compete in events organised by the USFHK, with additional support offered for individual sports like archery and judo.

Regularly organised PE classes cater to varying skill levels, enabling students to explore diverse sports interests, foster the habit of regular exercise, and enhance their overall physical well-being.

SAO offers credit-bearing Physical Education modules, including Common Core General Education and Free Elective options, which immerse students in various professional contexts, encompassing historical, cultural, and technological aspects, along with the latest trends in sports and related industries.

Dedicated to promoting both physical and mental well-being on campus, a diverse range of activities are organised by the Physical Education Section of SAO every academic year. From informative workshops and competitive sports tournaments to outdoor adventures, all are designed to be engaging and accessible. By participating, students are encouraged to build connections, learn collaboratively with peers, and integrate healthy habits into their university life.
