Eligibility and Criteria

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students at HSUHK both when taking the IELTS test and when applying for the test fee reimbursement.

A valid IELTS Test Report Form showing an overall band score of 7.0 or above must be submitted with the application.

Each student is eligible for one reimbursement during their studies at HSUHK.

Applications must be submitted within the same academic year of the issue date of the IELTS Test Report Form.

For IELTS test taken outside Hong Kong with fees paid in foreign currency, reimbursement will be based on the lower of the actual fee paid and the prevailing test fee in Hong Kong, subject to adjustment if the prevailing fee changes.

The PSC test must be taken through the Putonghua Education and Assessment Centre of HSUHK, and applicants must achieve an overall score of Second Class-Grade A (二級甲等) or above.

Each student is eligible for one reimbursement during their studies at HSUHK.

Applications must be submitted within the same academic year of the issue date of the test result/certificate.

Point-to-Note

  1. Starting from 1 September 2020, PSC and IELTS test fees reimbursed will be reimbursed on an actual amount of the test fee paid by the student as shown on the receipt.
  2. In case of any dispute, the University reserves the right of final decision.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Complete online application form via SFR-APP (Reimbursement of Language Test Fee) and upload the following documents:

IELTS
  1. Original IELTS Test Report Form (TRF)
  2. IELTS registration receipt with your name, paid amount, and exam date.
    (e.g. British Council receipt, IDP receipt, or confirmation email of the payment)
  1. Original PSC Certificate
  2. Official PSC test registration receipt showing the amount of the test fee paid
    (if you have lost your receipt, please contact the Finance office to re-issue the receipt.)

Step 2: Add your bank account information via eCampus:

  1. eCampus -> MyHSUHK -> Student Portal
  2. Payment -> Bank Account -> Enter your Windows password to login
  3. Add your bank account information
    (This page can only be accessed on campus only, for off campus access, please login to HSU VPN. For technical support, please contact ITSC at 3963 5160 or refer to https://itsc.hsu.edu.hk/user-services/sslvpn/.)
  4. Enter and upload your bank account information (with your name and account number as shown on your bank statement / passbook / bank account card).
