The Funds have been established since 1978 and aim to provide financial assistance for the education and training of:
- persons employed in the agriculture and agricultural products marketing industries / marine fisheries and fish marketing industries in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong), and their families and dependants; or
- persons who wish to enter the industries mentioned in (i) above in Hong Kong.

The Scholarship was established in 2011 by Centaline Charity Fund Limited, with a vision to support the livelihood of the disadvantaged and educate young generation. It also aims at recognising and supporting full-time first-year undergraduate degree studies (Year 1) in local university.

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial (SEYM) Fund Council is offering awards of Fellowships / Scholarships to finance outstanding Hong Kong students for overseas studies commencing in the 2027/28 academic year.

They offer the following scholarships for outstanding youths to recognise academic excellence, encourage personal aspiration, and provide meaningful support to students from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
