The University is committed to supporting students facing financial difficulties. In addition to government financial assistance schemes, HSUHK offers bursaries, emergency grants, and interest-free loans to assist students in need, enabling them to focus on their studies.

Government Financial Assistance Schemes

The Student Finance Office (SFO) of the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA) of the Hong Kong SAR Government provides two financial assistance schemes, namely the Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) and the Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS), to local full-time undergraduate students.

Eligible students may submit applications through the application platform (SFR-APP) by the designated deadline.

Important Notes:

  1. Read the Guiding Principles for Scholarship Award and Financial Assistance Schemes thoroughly before proceeding to the application platform (SFR-APP).
  2. Disbursement method: Autopay (via personal bank account). Awardees need to provide personal bank account information through eCampus.

External Financial Assistance

The Funds have been established since 1978 and aim to provide financial assistance for the education and training of:

  • persons employed in the agriculture and agricultural products marketing industries / marine fisheries and fish marketing industries in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong), and their families and dependants; or
  • persons who wish to enter the industries mentioned in (i) above in Hong Kong.
