AY 2024-2025 Summer Term PE Classes (June - July)
This semester, the University will provide 10 different types of exercise classes to students:
- Badminton (羽毛球)
- Fitball (健身球)
- Jazz Dance (爵士舞)
- *Muay Thai (泰拳) (Students will have to pay a non-refundable fee of $120 for equipment rental)
- Integrated Funny Keep Fit (綜合趣味健體)
- Tai Chi Qigong Ba Duan Jin (太極氣功八段錦)
- Pilates (普提斯)
- #Advanced Fitness (進階健身) (Participants who completed the Advanced Fitness Course may register as users of the LCSD Fitness Rooms)
- Yin Yoga (陰瑜伽)
- Fencing (劍擊)
Enrolment Procedures and Details:
- Registration period: from 11:00 am, 13 May (Tuesday) to 5:00 pm, 28 May 2025 (Wednesday). 5:00 pm, 10 June 2025 (Tuesday) for Badminton and Tai Chi Qigong Ba Duan Jin (Click here for e-registration).
- The class will be cancelled if the enrollment rate is lower than 50%.
- Each student can only enroll in ONE class. Students who fail to attend the class after successful registration will be limited to enroll in other PE activities in this academic year.
- After you have successfully registered for a class, a message “Your submission is completed successfully.” will be shown at the bottom of the system and the status will stay as “Choice 1”. Please check the result via the e-registration system and students WILL NOT receive confirmation emails.
- In case there are students withdrew from the class due to a timetable clash, thus freeing up quotas in the class that was originally fully registered, those who were unable to enroll in the first round can send an e-mail to SAO PE Section (sports@hsu.edu.hk) for inquiries. All available seats will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Students are required to have an overall attendance of at least 80% (4 out of 5 lessons) to receive any iGPS units.
- Students will receive the exact number of hours or units based on their attendance rate and the record will be released on or before mid-August 2025.
- If students cannot fulfill the above attendance requirement, they will not receive any iGPS units.
- Please wear proper sports attire when attending the class.
- No classes will be scheduled on Public Holidays and School Holidays.
