The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is committed to providing equal opportunities for all students, including those with special educational needs. To create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students, the University provides additional support and special arrangements for students with special educational needs.
Students are invited to declare their special educational needs (SEN) to the Registry in early September via email. The SEN Support team under the Student Affairs Office (SAO) will contact the registered student for an individual meeting to discuss the necessary accommodation and assistance, and liaise with the departments concerned. Students are strongly advised to provide recent documentation of their SEN. All information is handled in strict confidence.

Students with special educational needs are strongly advised to declare their updated conditions and other relevant information to the Registry, so that they can access the available resources and supports.
Students are welcome to contact the SEN Support team at any time during the course of their studies for communicating their special needs.
We are committed to meeting the University’s policies on personal data privacy protection. All confidential data obtained from a student is used to enhance the coordination work with different parties for providing personal and support services. The data collected will be handled with strict security and confidentiality and in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong.
Consent to release confidential information will be sought from the student during the declaration process. The SEN Support team communicates with authorized individuals and/or offices of the University according to the student’s consent. The registered student can request to review and amend the consent information at any time during the course of his/her study at HSUHK. The given consent will expire upon graduation.
Registration for SEN Support is on a voluntary basis and students are free to withdraw at any time.
