HSUHK Sinfonietta was founded in 2012 by a group of students with a strong passion for music. It aims at engaging music talents in the University, encouraging students’ participation in music appreciation and sharing the joy of music with the community. Since its establishment, the orchestra has performed at University events, including but not limited to the Convocation for New Students, Graduation Ceremony, High Table Dinner and various naming ceremonies.

Music contributes to the enhancement of social cohesion. HSUHK Sinfonietta also reached out to the public and performed in public events including the festive occasions in the community or shopping malls e.g. K11, Megabox. 

Miss Lo Kit Yu, Jessica is the conductor of the orchestra. Jessica is a master’s graduate from the University of North Texas with major in Orchestral Conducting. Under her dynamic and professional training, HSUHK Sinfonietta will continue to reach new heights.

The orchestra is now a performing team of the HSUHK Cultural Groups. We look forward to performing on public stages and collaborating with artists, music groups and orchestras of other institutions.
