  • Full-time undergraduate students of HSUHK
  • Any academic field and year of study
  • 18 years old or above

How to apply
Please complete the online application form (LINK HERElatest by 31 Dec 2024 (Tue), HKT 23:59. Please note that you will also need to submit the following  documents via the online form:

    • Write on the topic What personal qualities do you have that will help you succeed in a global internship?” in at least 100 words in English and save your essay in a MS word
    • Your CV in English in pdf format. We strongly recommend that you prepare your CV using the sample provided in the Career Guide as a reference.

Remarks: If you would like to enjoy the early bird discount, you need to complete our application form and the registration form of Bloom of Youth by 30 Nov 2024

Support from HSUHK
Students may apply for the Scholarship for Global Internship with an estimated disbursement of HKD$12,000 upon successful completion of the internship with the submission of reflection reports and attendance of pre- and post-internship activities.

In line with the University’s desired graduate attributes – “iGPS”, the Global Internship Programme (GIP) supports students on their journey towards becoming engaged with global society, and advanced in their professional and personal development.

Since its inception in 2014, GIP has offered internship opportunities in 20+ countries across 6 continents. The internship opportunities are offered by host organizations in a wide range of different industries.

The programme offers various overseas internship opportunities around the globe.

The application period usually starts from Dec to Feb.

This scheme is administered by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETO) in Singapore which offers internship opportunities in ASEAN countries.


This scheme is run by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETOs) in Europe which offers internship opportunities in Europe.

The application period usually starts from Feb onwards.

To offer a more diverse range of internship experiences, the SAO also promotes overseas internship programmes organized and administered by external organizations.

Please note that these external organizers will be solely responsible for program quality and delivery, and it is likely that a programme fee will be charged.

  • Developing soft skills such as cultural understanding, communication skills, language proficiency, and the ability to cope with challenges;
  • Enhancing competitiveness in the job market by gaining valuable experience abroad in an increasingly interconnected world;
  • Expanding professional knowledge and network by connecting with people from different backgrounds and industries;
  • Building a global outlook by exploring new countries and regions and experiencing different cultures.
  • All non-final year full-time UG student of HSUHK;
  • Possess good language and communication skills;
  • Be able to apply for the appropriate visa to the internship country.
  • Most global internships are available during Jun – Aug of each year with duration ranging from 4 – 12 weeks;
  • The exact internship period is subject to the internship host’s needs and the student’s availability.
  • The stipend/ allowance varies for different internship hosts while most internship are unpaid.

Remarks:

  • Students have to shoulder their own direct expenses and be responsible for the arrangement of their own visa application, round trip air ticket, daily transportation, accommodation, meals, etc.;
  • Travel insurance will be provided by the University during the placement period (excluding the period of personal travel).
  • Prepare the following documents:

(1) CV in English (Please check out our Career Guide for writing tips);
(2) Cover Letter (Please address to the company of your first choice)

Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme (GBA YES)

HKSAR Government regularises the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme from 2023 to encourage enterprises with businesses in both Hong Kong and the Mainland cities of GBA to employ university graduates from Hong Kong and station them to work in the GBA Mainland cities.

Mentorspire – HSUHK Career Mentorship Programme (恒大事業啟航師友計劃) aims at providing valuable opportunities for HSUHK students to seek career advice and guidance from mentors who are seasoned professionals and senior executives from different industries.

During the scheme, mentors and mentees can decide upon their own meeting schedule. On the other hand, various social/ career activities will be organized by the SAO to further connect our large group of mentors and mentees.
