Flag-raising Group

Programme Objectives

  • The HSUHK Flag-raising Group, established in 2024, aims to cultivate national identity and foster a strong sense of belonging to both the nation and the university among students. Through rigorous training and participation in solemn flag-raising ceremonies held on key dates (such as January 1st, July 1st, October 1st, and other major HSUHK events), the programme is designed to instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. Members will develop a profound respect for national symbols, enhance their civic awareness, and contribute to a dignified campus atmosphere. Opportunities for training as flag bearers, escorts, and emcees will be provided, equipping students with valuable organizational and public speaking skills. Exceptional members will also have the chance to represent HSUHK in inter-university competitions, bringing honor to the institution. All passionate undergraduate students are welcome to join this group, dedicated to promoting unity and personal growth while serving the university community.
