2019年是我第一次踏入恒大校園，亦是我期盼已久的大學生活的開始。入學後多姿多彩的校園生活令我感到新鮮，雖然重新認識新事物並不容易，但成為排球校隊的一員後，令我有機會認識志同道合的夥伴，使我不再感到陌生。
這年因收生率比以往高，為排球隊增加了不少新血，亦因舊生較少，新舊隊員需要時間配合。在這段磨合期，因為突然其來的各種事情，進行中的訓練和比賽相繼取消，正面地想其實我們有更多的時間裝備自己，亦能藉此培養與隊友的默契。
自加入排球隊後，高年級的師姐很照顧我們，除了在球場上不時提點我們，練習後也會約大家一起吃飯，使我們對球隊的歸屬感漸漸上升。此外，我與同年的隊員很快熟絡，因為大家對排球都充滿熱誠，雖然我們要重新適應新球隊的運作，但經歷了大大小小的比賽和訓練後及在彼此的扶持下，新舊隊員都能配合得宜。與中學球隊相比，很多方面都不同了，但我相信只要心存對排球的喜愛，到那裏都能有好的發展。
有幸代表恒大女排校隊參與第一年的大專比賽，感謝教練對我們無比的支持和信任，令我們有更多機會展現自己。雖然大專盃比賽因疫情取消了，但來年我們能以原班人馬出戰，相信我們有更好的發揮，為我校爭光。
The year of 2019 was my first time entering The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, and it was also the start of my long-awaited U-life. I felt fresh and excited about my colourful school life. It was not easy to acquire a new understanding, but the volleyball team helped me a lot. I had the opportunity to meet like-minded partners and it made me no longer feel estranged.
Due to the higher admission rate this year, lots of new blood (members) joined the volleyball team. Senior and junior players needed more time to cooperate. Unfortunately, ongoing training and competitions were cancelled because something suddenly happened during this adjustment period. In fact, more time spent equipping all team members and cultivating team spirit and tacit understanding.
In the volleyball team, senior teammates take care of us a lot. Apart from teaching skills, they also invite everyone to have dinner after training, which increases our sense of belonging to the team. Furthermore, freshmen and I get closer quickly as we are full of enthusiasm for playing volleyball. Although we have to adapt to the operation of this new volleyball team, we can all cooperate well after taking part in different competitions with mutual support. As we know, universities’ volleyball teams are different from those in secondary school. Nonetheless, every player with passion can have remarkable development wherever they go.
I am honored to join our first USFHK Women’s Volleyball Competition representing this volleyball team. I am thankful to our coach for his support and trust, which gives us more chances to show ourselves. With the original teammates in the coming year, we will have better performance in the competition and win glory for our school.
