何雋笙中三時與朋友一起參與學校欖球隊訓練,從中培養了對欖球的濃厚興趣
,中五暑假時在教練的鼓勵下,參與了球會訓練並參加了青少年欖球選拔
(U19s Junior Warriors 15s squad),在經過兩個月的訓練後,終獲邀到菲律賓
參與比賽。他在中六更成為學校欖球隊的主力,帶領欖球隊在十一月的港九學
界賽獲得第三名(HK Island & Kowloon Secondary Schools Competition BOCHK
Rugby Sevens Cup Boys A Grade Third),同年更獲邀參與香港U20訓練。雖然
最後未能通過香港U20選拔,代表香港參與2018年亞洲青少年U19欖球錦標賽,
但獲邀參與2019年1月1日元旦青少年賽事(New Year’s Day tournament U19
warriors competition),並獲委任為隊長,更在賽後獲得該隊前鋒獎項。經過一
年的磨練後,他獲邀參與U20的訓練,在經過三個月的訓練後,終入選香港U20
欖球代表隊,並代表香港出戰亞洲青少年欖球錦標賽,奪下冠軍,成功爭取參
與2020 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy 參賽資格。何雋笙在參與欖球訓練後,認識
到一班志同道合的朋友,每個禮拜兩次球會和校隊訓練更令他改善身體素質,
同時獲邀加入香港隊練習讓他學習到更高階的欖球技巧,以及登上國際舞台,
讓他在打欖球上倍添信心,雖然一開始接觸欖球時並沒有定下甚麼目標,但他
現在希望能加入職業聯賽,為成為欖球運動員的夢想打拼。


Thomas had joined the school rugby team training with his friends since Secondary three,
during which he developed a strong interest in rugby. In the summer of Secondary five, he
participated in the club training with the encouragement of his coach and joined the U19s
Junior Warriors 15s Squad. He was invited to the Philippines to participate in the
competition after two months of training. Thomas became the first team player of the
school rugby team after the Philippines tour, leading the rugby team to the third place in
the HK Island & Kowloon Secondary Schools Competition BOCHK Rugby Sevens Cup
Boys A Grade in November of the year. He was invited to participate in Hong Kong U20
training later. Although he was not selected to be part of the Hong Kong U20 Rugby
Team, he was invited to participate in the New Year’s Day tournament U19 warrior’s
competition on January 1, 2019 and was appointed as the team captain. After the game, he
won the team’s forward award. Next, he was invited to participate in U20 training. He was
finally selected for the Hong Kong U20 Rugby Team after three months of training, and
represented Hong Kong in the Asian Youth Rugby Championship, won the championship
and became qualified to participate in the 2020 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy. After
participating in rugby training, Thomas kept in touch with a group of like-minded friends.
The club and school team training were organized twice a week which improved his
physical fitness. At the same time, he was invited to join the Hong Kong team to practice
rugby to a higher level. In addition, he joined the international competition which
developed his confidence in playing rugby. Although he didn’t set any goals when he first
encountered rugby, he now hopes to join the professional league and fight for his dream of
becoming a rugby player.
