KMB Fare Saver
The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (“KMB”) is introducing the “KMB Fare Saver” Scheme. Adult and Student Octopus card holders who swipe their Octopus card at a designated Fare Saver kiosk on the campuses of the participated tertiary education institutions within three hours of taking a bus trip will enjoy a fare rebate.
Eligible Passenger Type
Holders of Adult Octopus card and Personalised Octopus card with Student Status are entitled to enjoy the fare concession.
Eligible Routes
Fare Saver Scheme is valid for over 400 KMB routes, including regular routes, racecourse bus routes, overnight routes, KMB solely-operated cross-harbour bus routes, Route B1 travelling to and from Lok Ma Chau and holiday special routes.
(Routes K12, K14, K17, K18 are excluded.)

How to use
Adult and Student Octopus card holders who swipe their Octopus card at a designated Fare Saver kiosk on campus within three hours of taking a bus trip will enjoy a $2 fare rebate. From 5 January 2020 onwards, passengers with Adult or Student Octopus Card can take their first KMB trip, then tap their Octopus Card at the Fare Saver kiosk after the trip on the same Business Day*. If they take a second KMB trip using the same Octopus Cards on the same Business Day, they will receive a $4 fare discount.
Passengers with Adult or Student Octopus Cards can enjoy a $2 fare discount after tapping their Octopus Cards on the Fare Saver kiosk and taking a KMB trip on the same Business Day*.
There is no limit to the number of discounts enjoyed per passenger per day, but passengers have to follow the “Ride-Tap-Ride” procedure in order to enjoy the $4 fare discount.
* The definition of Business Day is the period starting at 4:45:00 am on any date and ending at 4:44:59am on the subsequent date.
The Fare Saver Discount cannot be used in conjunction with the discount of other Fare Saver (including but not limited to the discount of New Town Plaza Fare Saver).
