Europe Internship Scheme

The Internship Scheme for Hong Kong Students in Europe (Europe Internship Scheme) is run by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETOs) in Europe.  

The Scheme aims to broaden the horizons of Hong Kong students, whilst strengthening interpersonal bonds to further the bilateral ties between Europe and Hong Kong. Please note that the vacancies are open to students at all universities in Hong Kong.

UK, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, Italy, etc.

Full-time undergraduate students of HSUHK

Internship Period
Most internships are available during May – Aug 2025 with duration ranging from 4 – 12 weeks (exact period is to be decided by the internship host) 

Stipend/ Allowance
Depends on internship hosts (some internships are unpaid, while some may offer allowance)

Remarks

  • Students have to shoulder their own direct expenses e.g. visa application, round trip air ticket, daily transportation, accommodation, meals, etc.
  • Students should arrange round trip air tickets, visa and accommodation by themselves
  • Travel insurance will be provided by the university during the placement period (excluding the period of personal travel)

Career Development in Greater Bay Area

What is the GBA?

The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), which comprises the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and the nine municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province, is accorded the status of key strategic planning in the country’s development blueprint. Having great significance in the country’s implementation of innovation-driven development and commitment to reform and opening-up, it also generates new impetus for growth to bring new development opportunities especially young people.

The objectives of the development are to further deepen cooperation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, fully leverage the composite advantages of the three places, facilitate in-depth integration within the region, and promote coordinated regional economic development, with a view to developing an international first-class bay area ideal for living, working and travelling.

Global Internship Programme(Overseas)

The HSUHK Global Internship Programme 2025 (Overseas part) offers a wide array of internship opportunities in various countries during summer 2025.

ASEAN Internship Scheme

The ASEAN Internship Scheme for Hong Kong Higher Education Students (ASEAN Internship Scheme) is run by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETO) in Singapore/ Jakarta/ Bangkok, which offers opportunities for HK university students to take up summer internships in ASEAN member countries.

Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.

Support from HSUHK
Students may apply for the Scholarship for Global Internship with an estimated disbursement of HKD$12,000 upon successful completion of the internship with the submission of reflection reports and attendance of pre- and post-internship activities.
