Resources for Non-local Students

Accommodation & Pastoral Care

Non-local students at HSUHK are arranged either on-campus or off-campus accommodation. On-campus options include the four Residential Colleges and Old Hall, while off-campus accommodation is available at Sunny House.

Non-local residents are offered with a variety of activities, including orientation nights, local tours, communal dining, and alumni sharing sessions.

There are also Student Mentor (SM) System in Old Hall and Mentors for Non-Local Students (MNLS) in Sunny House to provide pastoral care, guidance and support to help non-local students adapt to their new environment. Regular gatherings are held between the mentors and new non-local students.

To further facilitate adaptation, Cantonese classes are conducted to help students integrate more smoothly into the local culture.
