Starting from Academic Year (AY) 2019/20, the Education Bureau (EDB) will enhance the subsidy schemes for overseas learning activities as to encourage more post-secondary students in Hong Kong to pursue exchange activities in the Mainland and “Belt and Road” (B&R) regions. Government subsidy schemes available in AY 2019/20 are namely:
SSE | Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange for Post-secondary Students |
Means-tested SSEBR | Means-tested Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange to “Belt and Road” Regions for Post-secondary Students |
Non-means-tested SSEBR | Non-means-tested Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange to “Belt and Road” Regions for Post-secondary Students |
Non-means-tested MES | Non-means-tested Mainland Experience Scheme for Post-secondary Students |
2019/20 Round 1 application for Government subsidy scheme for overseas learning activities is now open for all current undergraduate students, who will / are planning to join overseas learning activities in Semester 1 of AY 2019/20 (starting from 1 September 2019). Application deadline is extended to 11 September 2019.
For application, please complete the online application form and upload all necessary documents as appropriate. Late and/or incomplete applications will NOT be processed.
